The 2015 retreat featured an array of unique information sessions. Day one focused on Shifting to a New Era of Stormwater Accountability. The sessions on this day provided information on some of the bigger picture issues associated with stormwater management in the Bay watershed: training needs and availability, the source of urban nutrients, MS4 Lessons Learned and Urban BMP Verification – why we need it, how we do it and how it’s maybe not so bad as it seems.

The final day of the retreat featured sessions focused on Expanding Our Stormwater Network. On this day, our audience heard first hand from inspectors with boots on the ground on what they are actually seeing in terms of BMPs being implemented in the watershed and what are some of the problems that can be resolved through front end means. Next up presenters from state and federal agencies updated the audience on what’s new in their regulatory world and what to expect in the next year in terms of stormwater regulations, permits, permit support and technical assistance. The retreat concluded with a panel on Stormwater and the Elected Official (no powerpoint slides here) and an informal discussion on how to best Maximize MS4 Public Outreach Efforts.
