Join us for a webcast on a new tool to help target your public education and outreach efforts. Steve Raabe from OpinionWorks has been tasked with developing a Citizen Stewardship Indicator as a way to establish a baseline from which a local jurisdiction can guide their efforts and measure progress for meeting their education and outreach goals and requirements.
Why does stewardship matter you ask? It was one of the outcomes of the new Chesapeake Bay Management Strategy to: “Increase the number and diversity of trained and mobilized citizen volunteers with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance the health of their local watersheds”. The Citizen Stewardship Indicator is a way to measure the progress or results of our collective citizen stewardship efforts watershed-wide. Steve will debut the results of the pilot study for the Citizen Stewardship Indicator and Kacey will provide the context for why this indicator matters and what we can expect next in terms of local jurisdictions utilizing the indicator to target and measure the progress of their local outreach efforts.
