The St. Luke’s Restoration of Nature Project began with a new church member who spotted a degraded stormwater outfall and is now a comprehensive stormwater retrofit. The treatment train approach includes a daylighted stream system, regenerative stormwater conveyance, non-tidal wetland restoration and enhancement, bioswales, living shoreline, tidal marsh habitat, and riparian forest enhancement. The project also includes an educational trail system that makes the site easy to access.
