Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a harmful toxic contaminant impacting urban streams and waterways. In this webcast, Barbara Mahler will discuss the latest research on PAHs in stormwater and their impacts on stream ecosystems and human health. Then, Zach Rybarczyk will discuss DOEEs efforts to combat PAHs through inspections, legislation and a new effort to develop standard protocols for testing pavement seal-coat products for PAHs.
