Stormwater management in New York is changing rapidly. For local government staff, consultants, the development community, and other stakeholders it is critical to keep up to date on regulations, timelines, and all the available administrative and technical implementation tools. That is the purpose of this workshop, sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Stormwater Training Partnership and Chemung County Stormwater Coalition.
The workshop will review the New York Stormwater Program and the design of different Best Management Practices to help achieve compliance.
Included in the workshop will be the demonstration of the recently approved NYDEC Runoff Reduction Worksheets complete with design exercises for hands-on training. We encourage you to bring your laptops for the design exercise portion of the workshop. The workshop will be interactive and offer ample time for discussion and collaboration among the attendees.
Additional topics of concern like testing for soil infiltration, tips for a good inspection and the visual indicators approach to LID inspection and maintenance will be covered as well.
