Outfall erosion represents a major source of sediment in urban watersheds due to high energy conditions and steep channel slopes. To help address this problem, the Chesapeake Bay Program recently approved a new protocol for calculating prevented sediment due to Outfall and Gully Stabilization Practices. In this webcast, we will outline the new protocol and discuss how and when you can earn nutrient and sediment reductions using this approach.
