Projecting Future Precipitation for Stormwater Management Webcast Recording

Speakers:

Art DeGaetano, Cornell University

Alan Cohn, New York City Department of Environmental Protection

[—-]

The Chesapeake Bay Program has recently developed analysis, building upon research from across the globe, that finds precipitation in the Chesapeake Bay watershed is expected to increase in the coming years due to climate change. Art will join us to talk about work in New York to produce local rainfall projections that could potentially be used for future stormwater design. Then, Alan will join us to talk about New York City’s Climate Resiliency Design Guidelines, including how they have used the work Art has produced to inform infrastructure lifespans, sizing guidance and floodplain risk assessments.
