The original technical memo on the Runoff Reduction Method (RRM) was published back in 2008 to help provide a framework for Virginia’s stormwater management program. Since then, the method has been adopted by a number of other jurisdictions, and new research has been conducted on BMP removal efficiencies.

Earlier this year, Dave Hirschman, Jon Hathaway and Rebecca Dohn worked with an all-star team of stormwater experts to update the runoff reduction method based on research and studies conducted over the last 10 years. The effort was undertaken to support the City of Nashville’s stormwater program and LID manual. In this webcast you will hear from Dave, Jon and Rebecca about why the update was needed as well as recommended updates to design specifications and pollutant removal efficiencies.
