Designing the Next Generation of Stormwater Practices
A Chesapeake Bay Stormwater Training Partnership Workshop
Friday, October 5, 2012
8:30 AM – 4:45 PM
FREE!

Stormwater management is evolving. For local government staff, consultants, the development community, and other stakeholders, keeping up-to-date on regulations, timelines, and all the available administrative and technical implementation tools is critical. This workshop, sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Stormwater Training Partnership and the Lancaster County Planning Commission, will help make sure that you are equipped to meet the stormwater challenge!
The free workshop will review the Pennsylvania Stormwater Program and the design of different Best Management Practices to help achieve compliance. The workshop will address topics of particular interest to those in Central Pennsylvania, like basin retrofits and stormwater management in karst regions. The workshop will include a demonstration of the recently developed PA stormwater compliance spreadsheet complete with design exercises for hands-on training. We encourage you to bring your laptops for the design exercise portion of the workshop. The workshop will be interactive and offer ample time for discussion and collaboration among the attendees. The agenda can be viewed here.
The Chesapeake Bay Stormwater Training Partnership is a training program for stormwater management professionals created by the Chesapeake Stormwater Network and the Center for Watershed Protection. It is sponsored by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund. Lancaster County, PA is providing logistical support for the workshop.
