Alana Hartman is the Potomac Basin Coordinator with West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, partnering with watershed groups and the Chesapeake Bay Program to protect local rivers and streams. Alana has a B.S. in Biology from Northeastern University and an M.S. in Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology from Frostburg State University. Since CSN’s beginning, she has helped to coordinate its activities in the Great Valley region, where there is a unique headwaters perspective and tricky karst terrain. Alana enjoys raising her daughters in West Virginia, with plenty of outdoor adventures and live music.
